How to Serve Vcorp Agent Services in California
Need Vcorp served? $49 corridor drops at 330 N Brand, next business day, guaranteed.
Start the Serve →Vcorp is the Wolters Kluwer agent that does not have a famous name. It shares the Suite 700 counter with CT Corporation, and that is exactly how it ends up misnamed on proofs of service.
Vcorp Agent Services, Inc. is a corporate registered agent in the Wolters Kluwer family, alongside CT Corporation System, NRAI, BFI and Corpdirect. All five accept service of process at one window: 330 N Brand Blvd, Suite 700, Glendale, CA 91203, weekdays 7:00am to 1:00pm. If your defendant's Secretary of State registration names Vcorp, everything in the CT Corporation guide about the counter mechanics applies. What earns Vcorp its own article is that almost nothing online tells you it lives there, so filers who search the address find CT Corporation and write that name down instead.
The mistake we see, and what it costs
In September 2026 a small-claims plaintiff hired us to serve a home-warranty company. His SC-100 named a CT Corporation employee as the agent, because every page he found for 330 N Brand said CT Corporation. The company's bizfile record said Vcorp Agent Services, Inc. Same suite, same counter, different legal entity. We served it in Vcorp's name and the proof recites Vcorp, which is what a judge reviewing a default will look for. Had the proof said CT Corporation, the defendant would have had a ready-made argument that the agent named was never its agent at all.
Your defendant did not designate a suite. It designated a specific corporate agent by name, and the proof of service has to match that designation. The fix is free: pull the defendant's record on bizfile before anyone drives, and carry the exact agent name into the field and onto the proof.
Who designates Vcorp
Wolters Kluwer markets Vcorp to attorneys, accountants and business owners who form and maintain entities through a professional, rather than to the Fortune 500 accounts CT Corporation is known for. In our files it has appeared on a consumer-facing California corporation that most people would have guessed was a CT Corporation account. There is no reliable way to guess from the company's size or industry. The registration is the only source.
The section 1505 roster
Because Vcorp is a corporation acting as an agent, Corporations Code section 1505 requires it to keep a certificate on file with the Secretary of State naming the employees authorized to accept service. That certificate is the bridge between handing papers to a person at a counter and having served your defendant under Code of Civil Procedure section 416.10. On our Vcorp serves we check the accepting employee against the current roster, record the name and title on the proof, and photograph the delivery with a GPS and time stamp. The same roster covers the sister agents at the window, so the employee who accepts a Vcorp serve may be the same person who accepted a CT Corporation serve an hour earlier. The entity name on the proof is what changes.
What every Vcorp drop includes
We pull the defendant's record on bizfile the day of dispatch and carry the agent's exact registry name into the field. We arrive at Suite 700 inside the weekday window with one copy set per defendant; the counter logs the case and an authorized employee on the agent's roster accepts. Service is personal and complete on delivery under Code of Civil Procedure section 416.10: no prior attempts, since attempt counts belong to substituted service on individuals, and no 10-day mailing tail. Our proof names the agent entity exactly as bizfile spells it and the accepting employee by name and title, on the right form for your case, with a GPS- and time-stamped photo of the delivery.
The 1:00pm close is the agent's business practice, not law, and it is firm. We run the Glendale registered-agent corridor from about ten minutes away and plan arrivals before 12:30pm, which is why corridor drops carry a next-business-day guarantee: documents in today are at the counter inside tomorrow's window.
